What does movement quality actually mean?
Movement is something we do all day. Movement quality asks a different question: how are we doing it? A movement assessment gives you a structured way to begin exploring the answer.
Four perspectives on one movement
Physmodo describes an assessed movement through four indicators: mobility, stability, posture, and symmetry. Mobility considers how freely your body moves. Stability looks at control. Posture describes body positioning during the screen. Symmetry compares the two sides.
These indicators offer different perspectives on the same screen. They are most useful when considered together, rather than treating any one score as a complete description of your body.
A starting point for a conversation
A score can help you notice an area worth discussing. It does not explain every reason behind the way you move. Your activity, experience, and personal context still matter.
For individuals, the next step may be following the app’s movement guidance. For a coach or practitioner, results can add context to a professional conversation. An assessment is a starting point, rather than a replacement for that judgment.
Look beyond a single screen
One assessment captures one moment. Repeating the screen creates a history you can review. Use a similar setup and follow the same guidance each time so you have a more consistent point of comparison.
The goal is a better understanding of your movement over time, alongside the other information that matters to you.
